Choice?
Each day we wake up with a choice. Will it be a good day or a bad day? How will you treat people you know and the people you don’t know? Will you tick someone off today? Will you make someones day? Will you smile and laugh or frown and cry? I do believe that we choose our life, that we can choose to be happy. I say that, but I can still falter and let other peoples choices dictate my happiness! I think we all do that now and again. It’s a hard thing to own your choice and not place blame on others or situations.
Sometimes I wish I had a crystal ball and could see into the future. If I go right, what will happen? If I go left, what will happen? Life is full of choice and when do you know that you’ve chosen correctly?
When we were little, we had parents to tell us to eat, sleep, go to school, be good, etc… Now that I am the parent I make the choices. That is a terrifying reality!
When I write it’s the only time I get to decide the outcome of my characters choices. Maybe that’s why I love it so much? I get to have control of something, in such an uncontrollable world.
But – life is not a novel, sometimes it’s better! I wouldn’t change any of my choices, I have no regrets. I love my life, I love who I’ve become. I am happy, very very happy. I hope everyone that reads this can say the same.
